IFSU gears up, retains on ISO quality management system needs and processes


In pursuit of improving the quality system of the University, Ifugao State University (IFSU) through the Department of Quality Assurance (DQuA) spearheaded a five-day Online Awareness Training on International Organization for Standardization otherwise known as ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Management System at the Multi-purpose Hall, Admin Building on August 22-26, 2022.

The training is a part of its preparation for the ISO External Audit in the coming months. It also aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customers and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

In her message, Dr. Eva Marie Codamon-Dugyon, University President, urged everyone to sustain the best practices that they already started and continue to improve the quality management system.

“We need to foster development in our services, programs, and activities to exceed the needs and expectations of our stakeholders and clients. Let us not stop for the better because change is inevitable if you want to extend extraordinary results,” stated Dugyon.

Internal Quality Audit (IQA); Drafting and Finalization, Context of the Organization (COTO) and Quality Policy Objectives; Pre-audit Conference; and Corrective Action/Audit Compliance/Management Review were discussed.
