Over 200 Ifugao State University (IFSU) students from Lamut and Lagawe campuses who hail from Quirino province received educational assistance on 19 April 2024 at the Heritage Convention Hall, IFSU Lamut (Main) Campus.

The payout is part of the "Provincial Government of Quirino Educational Assistance Program for College Students" program for the second semester of academic year 2023-2024.

Hon. Midy N. Cua, Representative of the Lone District of Quirino, along with Quirino Governor Hon. Dakila Carlo "Dax" Cua and Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) Chairman Hon. Junie E. Cua led the distribution. Representatives from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) assisted in the distribution process.

Each student received ₱3,000 to help with their educational expenses. Congresswoman Cua, in her address to the Quirino-native students of IFSU, emphasized the importance of this support and encouraged them to fully commit to their studies.

Mr. Alvin Dindo Paolo B. Tomas, Section Chief of the Scholarships and Financial Assistance at IFSU, expressed his gratitude to the Quirino provincial government for recognizing the need for educational support among students.
