Seventy research, extension proposals presented for review


Faculty researchers and extensionists of Ifugao State University (IFSU) produced seventy research and extension proposals for evaluation during the two-day Agency In-House Review (AIHR) that concludes today, September 30, 2022.

Organized by the Department of Research Development, Extension and Training (RDET), this annual activity highlighted 46 research and 24 extension proposals under

Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources (AANR) category, Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology (IEET), Social Sciences, Education, and Development/Extension.

Dr. Eva Marie Codamon-Dugyon expressed her delight and gratitude to the panel of evaluators for sharing their time and expertise. Further, she was pleased that the number of research proposals increased as the years passed, as research and extension are two of the core thrusts of the University.

“I hope that these proposals will see completion, publication, and extension to our local communities and stakeholders,” pointed out Dr. Dugyon.

Experts from Mountain Province State Polytechnic College (MPSPC), Benguet State University (BSU), Apayao State College (ASC), University of the Cordilleras (UC), Saint Louis University (SLU), and internal evaluators from IFSU served as the panel of evaluators.

In closing, Dr. Marissa P. Bulong, Vice President for RDET commended participants, organizers, and the team headed by Dr. Elpidio B. Basilio, Jr., Director for RD, and Ms. Marah Joy A. Nanglegan, Director for Extension for making the event successful and fruitful.
