15 Professors earn promotions with unanimous BOR Approval

Fifteen faculty members achieved significant career milestones following unanimous approval by the Ifugao State University (IFSU) - Board of Regents (BOR). The promotions were granted through BOR Referendum No. 01, Series of 2024, and were based on strict adherence to the guidelines outlined in Department of Budget and Management (DBM) - Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Joint Circular No. 03, Series of 2022. This joint circular governs faculty reclassification procedures within State Universities and Colleges (SUCs).

Among the promoted are ten professors who have advanced to higher professorial ranks. These are Dr. Eva Marie Codamon-Dugyon (Professor VI), Dr. Ivan D. Baguilat (Professor VI), Dr. Milton P. Dulay (Professor VI), Dr. Marissa P. Bulong (Professor V), Dr. Maria Louisa G. Taguiling (Professor V), Dr. Patricia A. Aliguyon (Professor IV), Dr. Freddie B. Caday (Professor IV), Dr. Jengjeng M. Bolintao (Professor IV), Dr. Marie Ann C. Galvez (Professor III), and Dr. Generose S. Ognayon (Professor III).

Additionally, five faculty members were promoted to the rank of Professor: Dr. Matronillo M. Martin (Professor IV), Dr. Jennifer Madonna G. Dait (Professor III), Dr. Marah Joy A. Nanglegan (Professor III), Dr. Elpidio B. Basilio, Jr. (Professor II), and Dr. Annie A. Tumitit (Professor II).

All faculty members underwent a rigorous evaluation process. The Institutional Evaluation Committee (IEC) meticulously reviewed documents and validated the qualifications of each faculty member for reclassification.  The IEC then submitted their findings to the Evaluation and Accreditation Committee (EAC) and Certification Committee (CC) for careful review, revalidation, and deliberation of all documents.

The recommendations of the EAC and CC were presented to the BOR Academic Committee during its meeting on 26 March 2024. This committee endorsed the promotions to the BOR, which ultimately granted approval.

The BOR's unanimous vote solidified the promotions through the BOR Referendum dated 03 April 2024.
