𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐄𝐱𝐚𝐦 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧


Newly registered criminologists from the Ifugao State University (IFSU) Lamut (Main) Campus celebrated their triumph in the February 2024 Criminology Licensure Examination. The Testimonial and Thanksgiving Ceremony on March 15  revealed the significance of both faith and action in acing the examination.

IFSU-Main criminology graduates boasted a passing rate of 78.46%, exceeding the national average of 48.96%. Notably, 85.96% of first-time takers passed the examination. The Main Campus also ranked highest among Higher Education Institutions in the region offering criminology programs.

Campus Executive Director Nathaniel F. Dimog commended the new criminologists and emphasized the ceremony's role in upholding IFSU's vow to academic excellence. He reiterated the University's support in ensuring effective student life cycle management even after graduation.

Director Dimog also reminded the passers to express gratitude to their parents/guardians and benefactors. He added that they are no longer graduates but partners in serving the Filipino people.

University President Dr. Eva Marie Codamon-Dugyon, in her message, stressed the crucial role of criminologists in safeguarding society. She implored the new graduates to actively pursue justice and ensure the safety and security of everyone.

"True peace is not merely the absence of conflict, but the active pursuit of justice. It is ensuring everyone feels safe and secure, and that the law applies fairly to all. The future of peace and justice rests on your shoulders,” added Dr. Dugyon.

She further urged the criminologists to uphold IFSU's core values as they embark on their careers. She challenged them to be proactive in addressing societal concerns and advocating for positive change within their communities which supports the attainment of Sustainable Development Goal 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions.

Passers Jenoel Fabro Jr., Aliza Lorraine B. Hawete, Joshua P. Pungan, Shekinah Grace V. Lachaona, Remart Kenneth B. Puwoc, Szweet Hartz R. Pinkihan, Jackson G. Botuagan, Bronson Soler B. Tabiano, Clinton Jay G. Taguiling, Neliza H. Amuna, Marwin T. De Guzman, and John Ramsel A. Levaley shared their experiences during the ceremony. Their narratives emphasized the importance of living out one's faith, a core value of IFSU, while diligently preparing for the examination.

Hawete revealed her effective review technique, an acronym HPPG which stands for Humility, Prayer, Preparation, and Gratitude.
