IFSU receives tablets donated by Japanese non-profit org

To help students in this age of digital learning, the Basic Human Needs (BHN) Association, a government-accredited non-profit organization based in Tokyo, Japan donated 100 tablets to Ifugao State University (IFSU).

In an online ceremony today, BHN President Hideo Ino expressed delight in having an important partner in the Philippines through IFSU.

University President Dr. Eva Marie Codamon-Dugyon, in response, thanked the association for the donation which will boost the information and communication technology (ICT) skills of students.

“We are well aware of the substantial amount of work required to meet and maintain high standards in education. We will move closer to achieving our objective with the tablets you donated for educational purposes. We are thankful for your kindness and generosity that will make a difference in the lives of our students,” remarked Dr. Dugyon.

Mr. Nathaniel F. Dimog, Campus Executive Director of Lamut Campus, said that the gadgets will be utilized by students in their research activities.

“Electronic books will be installed for easier access to various knowledge. These tablets will be distributed in all college libraries,” he added.

Mr. Ino was joined by Happei Kurematsu, Senior Vice President; Yasuo Yoshimatsu and Yoshihiko Morimoto, Executive Directors; and Kango Kii, Project Coordinator.

Meanwhile, Engr. Loinaz Dulawan, Chief Administrative Officer; Mr. Richard Baliao, Director of the Department of Communication, Public and International Affairs; and Mx. Clyde B. Pumihic, International Relations Officer joined from IFSU.
