IFSU among 8 Founding Members of Open Distance Education Providers in Ph


Ifugao State University (IFSU)) is now officially a member of the Consortium of Open Distance Education Providers in the Philippines (CODEPP) after inking a Memorandum of Agreement with other seven Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the country at Benguet State University, La Trinidad, Benguet on January 31, 2023.

To achieve the shared goal of fostering open distance education, Dr. Eva Marie Codamon-Dugyon, IFSU’s University President signed the contract with Dr. Melinda DP. Bandalaria, University of the Philippines – Open University (UPOU) Chancellor; Dr. Felipe S. Comila, Benguet State University’s President; Dr. Hernando D. Robles, Cavite State University’s President; Dr. Edgar A. Orden, Central Luzon State University’s President; Dr. Jaime I. Manuel Jr., Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University’s President; and Dr. Ronald Raymond L. Sebastian, John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University’s President; and Dr. Shirley C. Agrupis, Mariano Marcos State University’s President.

CODEPP aims to provide more opportunities for ideas and expertise to be shared; provide a platform for the exchange of experiences, instructional best practices, and research findings on flexible/technology-enhanced and open distance eLearning among Consortium Members and other institutions that are interested in implementing strategies for lifelong learning and inclusive education; among others.

The Consortium is chaired by UPOU for the first two years as the country's pioneer and leading institution in open and distance learning.
