Novel activities mark Nat’l women’s Month celeb at IFSU

In solidarity of the ongoing National Women’s Month celebration, Ifugao State University (IFSU) has set several activities that promote women empowerment and gender equality on different schedules this month.

Just today, men and women employees attended a training on Digital Graphic Design bannering the International Women's Day theme, “DigitALL: Innovation and Technology for Gender Equality,” with Mr. Roger Tamargo, a faculty member of the College of Computing Sciences, as the resource speaker.

Moreover, ZumBAYOLET is being held for the health and fitness of employees every Friday afternoon. Offices have also decorated their spaces in purple, and since the launch of celebration in the University, #PurpleWednesdays has been observed in the University by wearing anything purple on Wednesdays. According to utahwomenshistory.org, purple stands for "loyalty, constancy to purpose, unswerving steadfastness to a cause.”

Activities are being spearheaded by the Gender and Development Research and Resource Center (GADRRC).
