CHED okays 12.7M for IFSU’s ICT project

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) through its Institutional Development and Innovation Grants (IDIG) granted PhP12,706, 890.00 to Ifugao State University for its project, titled “Unified Learning Environment: Enhancing IFSU-LMS and Infrastructure” early this month.

According to Arri Steven P. Dulnuan, project leader, the project aims for the University to achieve a seamless and user-friendly learning management system (LMS) environment from uploading files to conducting online classes. Also, learning hubs with adequate internet bandwidth will also be established in all campuses to cater to all faculty members and students simultaneously working due to flexible learning mode.

The project is one of two IFSU Smart Campus Development Projects under the Financial Assistance for SUCs for the Development of Smart Campuses program, otherwise known as the “Bayanihan to Recover as One Act (Bayanihan 2)."

All faculty members and students will be given access to the enhanced IFSU-LMS and its online facilities for a smooth, excellent yet inexpensive virtual learning experience.

The project on the upgrading of IFSU-LMS and its infrastructure will run for 24 months.
