Leche Lavasa


Ifugao State University through Diana Mae D. Pimentel, a staff member of IFSU’s Department of Extension and Training, won 2nd Prize in this year’s Socially Relevant Technologies (SRT) Innovation Contest – Professional Category organized by the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines.

Her product innovation, Leche Lavasa, a healthy snack made from squash, a common crop in the province, bested entries from other State Universities and Colleges in the country. Ms. Pimentel shall receive a certificate and a cash prize.

The Innovation Contest is a venue for technologies to be presented to potential adaptors/investors that will propel their commercialization.
