Junior Chamber International Philippines (JCIP) Cagayan Valley and Baguio Sun Flower conducted a Youth Power Training Workshop Series where aspiring and potential youth leaders participated on May 5 at the Audio Visual Room, IFSU Main Library.Dr. Reyson Raymundo from Isabella State University-Echague talked on the Role of the Youth in Climate Change while Ms. Jessica Lutwachen Bilat, JCIP Baguio Sunflower President talked on Social Responsibility and Volunteerism.
Afterwhich, the participants had a writing workshop entitled, Pinay Power- “Alay kay Nanay tula ng kanyang buhay.” The participants were tasked to write an essay about their mothers in line with the Mother’s Day celebration.Meanwhile, Peace is Possible covenant signing was also done by Dr. Serafin L. Ngohayon, IFSU President, JCIP officers, members and volunteers in the said workshop. Also, turnover of random books for grade school and senior high to IFSU Library was made. These books will be given to nearby high schools. Junior Chamber International Philippines Area One Bags to School Tour- AmBag sa Kabataan also gave bags to the kids in the Community.A total of 50 bags with school supplies were given to lucky children from the Nayon and nearby barangays. In return, the Office of the President, IFSU also gave personalized bag with IFSU logo to the JCIP and workshop facilitators. To address the issue on global warming and climate change and aligned to IFSU’s Plant a Tree program, JCIP and other workshop facilitators and student participants had their tree planting in the IFSU Compound. A total of 30 seedlings were planted along the road fronting the IFSU lots. Seedlings were produced by JCIP and IFSU. #
